November 2024 Member Spotlight: Katherine Jessen

Meet, Katherine Jessen Pool,  a Senior Advisor at Citadel Partners, where she specializes in office and industrial brokerage. With seven years of experience in commercial real estate, Katherine has honed her expertise in building relationships with prospective clients and providing strategic real estate advice. Her role involves offering market insights and facilitating transactions that position her clients for success, making her a valued asset in the industry.

Katherine’s journey in real estate began after an unfulfilling stint as an Exhibitions Coordinator for a fine art company right out of college. A transformative breakfast meeting with Scott Morse inspired her to pursue a career rather than just a job. This pivotal moment led her to join Citadel Partners, where she has since thrived. Her involvement with NTCAR has further enriched her professional life; she currently serves as the President of the Young Professionals Forum (YPF) after holding previous positions as the Philanthropy Chair and Events Chair. These roles have allowed her to cultivate invaluable connections and contribute to the growth of her peers.  Her favorite NTCAR events are the YPF Up Close & Personals where she gets the opportunity to learn from experts in the real estate field.

What Katherine loves most about commercial real estate is witnessing the growth of her clients’ businesses. She finds it incredibly fulfilling to assist small companies in navigating their first experiences with space acquisition, from identifying suitable offices to expanding into larger warehouses. Being in Tenant Representation gives her a unique vantage point to be a part of their success stories, reinforcing her passion for the field!

Outside of work, Katherine enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending quality time with her husband, Ryan, and their dog, Penny. Her belief in the importance of surrounding oneself with positive and ethical individuals continues to guide her both personally and professionally. As she advises newcomers to the industry, finding a supportive community can make all the difference in navigating the challenges and triumphs of commercial real estate!
