March 2024 Member Spotlight: Mia Ureña

Meet Mia Ureña, a Transaction Manager at Venture Commercial where she works on a wide variety of transactions ranging from shop leasing, pad site sales, ground leases, and anchor transactions. Following graduation in 2019 and a short stint in oil and gas, Mia connected with someone in the commercial real estate industry who needed extra help during COVID, which was the start of her now 4 years in the business.

The value of networking was instilled in Mia early in her career, which is why she first got involved with NTCAR, where she serves on the Young Professional Forum Core Committee! Mia believes it is important to always be meeting new people and to never underestimate the power of connections and how people can help each other in the industry.

Her favorite thing about commercial real estate is the people! Mia says, “I work with some truly amazing people who have made such an impact on my life and who will forever be special to me.” Her best advice to someone just getting into the industry is to be kind to others and always make people feel included.

Outside of work and NTCAR, Mia loves travel—especially solo, enjoys working out, and is always listening to new music. We are so grateful to have Mia as part of our organization and can’t wait to see where her connections take her!
