December 2023 Member Spotlight: John O'Neal

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: John O’Neal, NTCAR Board President

John is Senior Vice President at Northern Trust Corporation and specializes in Acquisitions, Asset Management, Business Development, Investments, and Leasing. He focuses primarily on advising clients on commercial real estate investment and asset management and managing an approximate $250MM Commercial Real Estate Portfolio. He is involved in NTCAR because it helps him stay connected to the local market!

One of the most meaningful ways John has engaged in NTCAR has been serving on our Board of Directors and his favorite NTCAR event is the Stemmons Service Award—he loves hearing the acceptance speeches every year.

His best advice to someone just getting into the industry is “’Take any job you can get’. There are many different types of career opportunities and the best way to figure out the best for you - and best way to find that opportunity - is to get connected within this industry group.”

Outside of NTCAR, John spends most of his time coaching for his two kids’ sports teams and keeps up hobbies such as golf, tennis, and hunting. We are so happy to have John as part of our organization and appreciate his leadership as our 2023 Board President!
